In Northeast Minneapolis, I joined a motivated team of creatives to transform an empty retail space into a puzzle escape experience set in a starship flight deck.
My role in this first incarnation of the Riddle Room was to consider human factors and user experience: patron flow, accessiblity, game logistics and maintenance/upgrades.
Mapping out the flight deck.
I gave perspectives on basic accessibility and ADA standards early in the raised platform design.
A system for modular game panels has allowed for predictable installation and upgrades to puzzle scenarios.
Standardized hole and cutout pattern for game panels.
User testing and feedback sessions were conducted several weeks before opening.
